Water sports in Scheveningen

The beach and the dunes of Scheveningen have plenty to offer to sport enthusiasts. Especially for water sports, Scheveningen is the place to be.

Banana boating and Jet Skiing

New in Scheveningen is Jet Ski rental and banana boat rides by Fun & Fantasy in Scheveningen.

Wind surfing

With the Scheveningen Jump Team Scheveningen has grown into the number one windsurfing centre in Holland. It is the perfect spot for this popular sport.

Kite surfing

Kite surfing is becoming more and more popular and so of course you’ll also see them at the beach of Scheveningen. It’s a great sight to see the kite surfers challenge the different natural elements. You’ll find kite surfers the whole year round at the Noordelijk Havenhoofd (northern side of the harbour inlet). During the summer you can also find some nice beach pavilions at this part of the beach. Unfortunately it’s not yet possible to hire kite surfing equipment.

Sailing

Scheveningen has a beautiful marina with plenty of berths. You can rent a sailing boat or join an organised sailing trip. Every year Scheveningen plays host to the North Sea Regatta.

Sport fishing

The sport fishing companies Groen, Trip and Vrolijk invite amateur fishermen to try their luck at sea. Experienced fishermen on board these former commercial boats can assist beginners who want to cast a line. With a bit of luck, you will return with a cod, whiting, dab or mackerel.

Diving

Learn the basics of scuba diving and discover the fascinating underwater world of the North Sea. Experienced divers can also dive to shipwrecks in the North Sea.
