The Hague Beach Stadium events

The Hague Beach Stadium is the arena for (inter)national top talent in beach volleyball, soccer, hockey, and handball. This fully renovated beach stadium will be hosting a string of sporting highlights from June to September 2013. Admission to most events at The Hague Beach Stadium is free.

The Hague Beach Stadium, located next to the Noordelijk Havenhoofd (northern side of the harbour entrance) on Scheveningen Beach, is the largest stadium in the Netherlands for outdoor beach sports. It seats nearly 3,000 spectators and features VIP facilities, food and beverage stands, toilets, first aid and entrance security. Most of these facilities will be available throughout the summer season.

Beach soccer takes centre stage in July while August will mainly feature beach volleyball. In addition to beach soccer and volleyball, the Beach Stadium will also host beach hockey and beach tennis.

A national or international top sporting event will be held every weekend in the summer on the beach. The Hague Beach Stadium also serves as a practice centre for many professional athletes and a playground for various social activities for children and other community groups. If you’d also like to use the Beach Stadium for a sporting event, it’s available for company outings.

The Municipality of The Hague established The Hague Beach Stadium in 2007 to boost beach sports, an important spearhead of the city’s professional sport policy making. Since then all relevant sports associations have found their way to the state-of-the-art stadium where many national and international championships are decided.
