The Department of Public Service (Publiekszaken) is responsible for maintaining all the personal data for the population of The Hague. You can contact this municipal department for products containing your personal data, such as a driving licence, an extract from the Municipal Personal Records Database (GBA) and registration from abroad.
The Department of Public Service is also responsible for providing services to the residents of The Hague via internet and by telephone. It organises the elections, for example. The Municipal Tax Department also falls under the Department of Public Service.
The Hague is the only municipality in the Netherlands whose Department of Public Service has a number of national tasks, such as the registration of foreign certificates.
