In March 2006 De Waterreus was the first and only beach pavilion in the Netherlands to receive the International Accessibility Symbol. This symbol indicates that De Waterreus is accessible for people in a wheelchair. Planks are available and there is a handicapped parking space nearby. Also there are handicapped restrooms and the cloakroom and cashpoint are accessible for people in wheelchairs.
