Bicycle riding lessons

Not sure about how to cycle in the city?  Het Fietscollege has qualified instructors who run various bike riding courses, ranging from the beginner cyclist to doing your own maintenance and repairs. Alternatively, try cycling with your Dutch neighbour or go on an organised cycling tour with a guide where you can ‘follow and learn’.

As far as children are concerned, local children learn to ride a bike at a very young age by cycling with parents or grandparents, and thus do not enrol in cycling courses. Children are taught at school about traffic rules and road safety and take a bicycle exam at the age of 11 or 12 years.
